Windsor beat Fort Lupton 47-3 on the Wizards’ field Friday night.
Zach Boyd rushed for 78 yards to lead the Bluedevils’ ground game. He also completed seven of 15 passes for 77 yards. Brodie Nelson was on the receiving end of two of those passes for 47 yards. Jalen Vasquez caught two for 19 yards. Dallas Hansen accounted for FLHS’ only points in the first quarter.
Joe Sanger ran for 64 yards for Windsor and scored three touchdowns.
“We had a tough night the other night, for sure,” FLHS coach Jeff Priestley. “That Windsor offense is really good. But we did have some real good efforts the other night. Our special teams were really strong again. Our special teams coordinator; Chase McBride, has done a great job with them and they have improved each week. Zach Boyd had a good night throwing the ball and running. Jordan Laroche had several great running plays, and Jalen Vasquez played real well at receiver.”
“Overall, however, I have to hand it to the Windsor Wizards,” he continued, “They are an awful good football team and they executed extremely well.”
