SLIDES: Top-10 wrestling match goes to Adams City

Though Adams City's Jace Long is on the bottom end of this exchange with Poudre's Banks Norby, Long was able to earn a tough, 4-2 decision in the 132-pound match Jan. 12 in Commerce City. The Eagles, the No. 3 team in the state, downed the Impalas, the No. 7 team in the state, by a score of 60-15.

Adams City downed Poudre 60-15 in a dual meet among two, top-10 wrestling programs Jan. 12 in Commerce City.

ACHS picked up on-mat wins from Nicholas Vasquez (106 pounds), Adryan Lopez (113), Jace Long (132), Maximus Gutierrez (138), Levi Deaguero (145), Tyson Moffitt (160), Daniel Long (170), Andres Lacrue (195) and Micah Ortiz (220).

ACHS also beat Fort Collins 56-21 in the second half of the double-dual meet. Vasquez, Lopez, Jace Long, Gutierrez, both Deagueros and Daniel Long won their contested matches.
