BYERS -- A little wind, a lot of rain, some snow in places.

But a tornado in September?

Freelance photographer John Carr spotted this tornado Thursday afternoon. He took the picture looking northeast from 120th Avenue and Hayesmount Road.

The National Weather Service said three tornadoes visited the Front Range Thursday. One was near Larkspur, and another touched down near Roggen. The third was near Byers, and it stayed on the ground for three minutes.

All three happened within a span of 2 1/2 hours. No damage was reported.
