Sandra Jean McGee, 68, of Commerce City, passed away Oct. 31, 2014. She was born Jan. 29, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Robert Miller and Jane Bong. She graduated from Monroe High School in North Hills, Calif., in 1964 and married Bobby McGee on April 23, 1964, in Canoga Park, Calif.
Sandy has lived in the Brighton area since 1970 and was a member of the Worship Center, serving as a member of the Board of Trustees and singing in the church choir. She worked at Safeway in Brighton, as a Checker, for 30 years, retiring in 2004.
She loved to visit the ocean beaches and loved to go shopping, especially for the holidays, spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed her family get-togethers and celebrated everything she could.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bobby McGee, of Commerce City; children, Wendy (Brian) Stabler, of Mahomet, Ill.; Dennis (Marilu) McGee, of Brighton; and Bobby Jane (Chris) Reynolds, of Highlands Ranch; sister, Karen Dupree; and brother, Ken Miller, both of Westminster; and 10 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at The Worship Center, 14650 Chambers Road in Brighton.
