Ruby E. Peterson, 80, formerly of Brighton, died July 28, 2011, at Hospice of St. Johns in Lakewood.
She was born Dec. 22, 1930, in Gibbon, Neb., to Guy and Bessie Mays.
She is survived by her daughters, Carmen (Chuck) Marcinkiewicz, of Golden, and Linda Johnson, of Lochbuie; and adopted son, Jeffery Jones, of Granbury, Texas; sister, Alice (Carroll) Holl, of Grangeville, Ind.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Peterson; her parents; brother, Floyd Mays and sister-in-law, Shirley Mays; and son-in-law, David Johnson.
Services will be in September in Gibbon.
