WESTMINSTER -- The Standard Examiner in Ogden, Utah, reported that a former Fort Lupton High School English and drama teacher died Jan. 24 of pancreatic cancer.

Stefanie "Stef" Bradbury Player was 29. Player had been ill for four months.

She was born May 18. 1984, in Murray, Utah, to Olan Kent Player and Maria Teresa Tenorio de Le Torre Player. Her family relocated to Roswell, Ga., where she graduated from high school in 2002. She earned a double major bachelor's degree (English and theater arts) from Southern Utah State University in 2010 and married her college sweetheart, Nikolene Bradbury, Jan. 18.

The Standard Examiner's obituary notice said she taught English and drama at Fort Lupton High School for two years. Player also taught English at Mountain View High School in Orem, Utah. She owned her own performing arts company and provided lessons to students for more than 10 years.

Her hobbies included attending theater performances, concerts, sporting events and the movies, hiking, dancing, bike riding and spending time at home.

Survivors include her parents; her older sister, Tanya, two brothers, Joseph and Daniel; her dog, Trigger; six nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; her baby brother, David; and her puppy, Birdie.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m., Jan. 30, at Myers Roy Mortuary in Roy, Utah. Burial follows at the Willard Cemetery in Willard, Utah. Send condolences to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com.
