Jamie Campbell takes over as new president of the Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton as of January 17, 2021, according to the press release.

“Jaime is seasoned in collaborating with local, regional, and system leadership,” said Mark Korth, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for SCL Health. “She has a proven track record for improving patient safety, quality, and overall patient experience. In addition, she is passionate about advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, and staff well-being.”

John Hicks, after 26-years as President of Platte Valley Medical Center, will be retiring. Campbell was the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, California. It is a 385-bed acute care hospital and is part of CommonSpirit Health, according to officials.

Campbell is a graduate of Tiffin University in Ohio with a BA in Organizational Management and holds MBA in General Management and Healthcare Administration.

“Platte Valley Medical Center, as well as Brighton and the surrounding communities, are very familiar to me in terms of culture, industry, and the need to expand healthcare services to meet a growing and diverse population,” said Campbell. “I look forward to immersing myself in the community and to working with the entire Platte Valley team, the Board of Directors, and all the local stakeholders to continue their excellent work into the future of this fast-growing region.”
