Joyce Elaine Beauprez Imperatore, 73, died peacefully on June 12, 2012, in Kingwood, Texas. Her loving family was by her side as she passed.
Joyce was born April 9, 1939, in Mead to Emma Schlagel and John Beauprez. She graduated from Wiggins High School in 1957 and married her high school sweetheart, Harold Baumgartner.
Settling in Brighton, they started several construction companies while raising their family. Years later, Joyce moved to the Sarasota/Bradenton, Fla., area and married John Imperatore in 2000.
Joyce enjoyed traveling, her family and her grandchildren. Her outgoing personality and beautiful smile touched many people. Joyce embraced a unique enthusiasm for life and all of its adventures. She had a great sense of humor and had a special way of uplifting the spirits of the people she met, including the elderly during her years as a caregiver in Florida.
Joyce’s wonderful smile, and kind generous nature will be missed. Her free spirit will live on in the hearts of those she knew.
She is survived by her children, daughter, Lori (Kevin) Braun of Litchfield Park, Ariz., son Russ (Jo) of San Diego, Calif., daughter, Kristi (Lamar) Berry of Houston, Texas, sister, Susan Winter, brother, Johnny Beauprez, of Brighton, and her grandchildren: Ashley, Trevor, Syerra, Madysen, Chloe, Coral and Lucas.
A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held for family and friends on June 24 in Brighton. Please contact family members for details.
Amado Marquez
Amado Marquez, 95, of Brighton, passed away June 14, 2012, in Denver. He was born July 6, 1916, in Gallinas, N.M., to Ramon Marquez and Maria Gallegos. He married Eva Ortega on April 19, 1985, in Brighton.
Amado is survived by his wife; four sons and four daughters, 10 step-children and two siblings. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Rosary service was June 18, followed by the funeral service June 19, both at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton. Graveside service followed at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.

Joseph A. Vurciaga
Joseph A. Vurciaga, our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, returned home to our Father in Heaven June 12, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was at home with his family at his bedside.
He was born July 6, 1927, in Vail, S.D., to Jermone and Mary (Martinez) Vurciaga. He married Charlotte Mehas on Sept. 15, 1946. Together they were blessed with the three loves of his life: Donald G. (who precedes him in death); Gerald (Kathy) of Lakewood, and JoLyn (John) Webster of Gilbert, Ariz. He is also survived by one sister, Okie Nuanes, of Thornton; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Joe worked for many years at Dach Masonry in Denver as a foreman. He helped to build many of the Denver Public Schools and many structures in the Denver metro area such as the Tabor Center, Republic Plaza and Trinity Place. Several of the projects he worked on won Merits of Achievement. Locally, he built the Welcome to Brighton signs and many fire places and homes for friends and family.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Brighton Elks BPOE #1586 and Brighton Knights of Columbus, where he was a past Grand Knight.
A Rosary Service was held June 14, 2012, followed by the Mass of Christian burial June 15, 2012, at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.

Gail Wilson
Gail Wilson, 57, died June 15, 2012, in Brighton.
Born March 1, 1955, to William and Pauline Moody in Malvern, Ark., Gail married Randy Wilson in 2002 at Sault Sainte Marie, Mich.
Gail is survived by her husband; sons William Lee (Misty) Renfro, Kevin DeWayne Renfro and daughter Billie Jean (Geoff) Mele, and many grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service was June 18 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, which handled the arrangments.
