John M. Mizunaga, 56, of Brighton, passed away Aug. 6, 2012. He was born Dec. 2, 1955, in Denver to Charles and Frances (Mizushima) Mizunaga. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1974 and later married Jodi Shibao Sept. 22, 1979, in Denver.
John was a lifetime resident of Brighton and worked for Frontier Business Solutions for the last few years. He loved to play golf and enjoyed bowling, cooking and taking trips to Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Jodi, of Brighton; twin-sister, Joyce Mizunaga, of Aurora; sister, Yuki Kimura of Tujunga, CA; brother, Eddie (Anita) Mizunaga of Ventura, CA; brother-in-law, Randy Matsushima of Centennial and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by both of his parents; sister, Karen (Eiko) Matsushima in 2008, and one niece, Tiffany Kimura.
A memorial service took place Aug. 11 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton, which handled the arrangements.
