Jeanette H. Reiva, 76, of Sioux City, Iowa, and formerly of Fort Lupton, passed away March 17, 2010, at her home.
Jeanette graduated from Fort Lupton High School in 1951 and married James Reiva Jr., June 11, 1955, in Platteville. She graduated from Parks Business School and worked for Blue Cross Insurance Co. of Denver, and later the Chaska High School System in Chaska, Minn. She also worked as a bookkeeper in Minneapolis, but primarily she was a homemaker and raised her four children. Jeanette lived in Fort Lupton and Brighton off and on for the last 40 years, spending time in Minneapolis, Omaha, and Sioux City.
Jeanette is survived by her children; daughter ReNae Couture, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; sons, Dan (Bev Wolfe) Reiva, of Minneapolis, Minn., Greg (Heather) Reiva, of Chicago, Ill., and Brad (Mary) Reiva, of Sioux City, Iowa; grandchildren, Amy, Rachel, Ben, Jennifer, Sara, Annie, Elizabeth, Bethany and Nicholas; sisters, JoAnn (Bill) Brokaw, of Aptos, Calif., Shirley (Charles) Bell, of Fort Lupton, Patricia (Jerry) Glynn, of Brighton, Maxine (Dennis) Hilderbrand, of Alamosa; brothers, Richard (Cammie) Gabel, of Firestone, and LeRoy (Janet) Gabel, of Louisville, Ky..
Rosary was said March 22 at St. Williams Catholic Church in Fort Lupton. Mass of Christian burial was March 23 at St. Williams Catholic Church. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
