Mead beat Frederick 17-6 in Frederick March 14. The game ended after the sixth inning because of the state's mercy rule.
Brenner Downey had two hits and three RBIs for the Mavericks, as did Drew Perigo. Eddie Burke had a pair of base hits, including a double, and drove in two. No stats were available for the Golden Eagles.
Girls soccer
Mead blanked Frederick 4-0 on the Golden Eagles' pitch March 14. Katy Adler scored three of the Mavericks' goals, Averi Williams scored the other. No stats were available for FHS.
