Fort Lupton City Council Council agreed to accept a $410,000 grant for upgrades to Community Center Park outside the recreation center on South Harrison Avenue.
The decision came during a March 7 council meeting.
Earlier this month, recreation center Manager Doug Cook said work on the north trail starts first, followed by the southern trail, to allow the upcoming youth soccer season to finish. The matter came to the council after previous discussions, so there was no additional public input.
Council also approved a license agreement with Metro Water Recovery for access and operations and the city wastewater treatment plant. The purpose is to operate and maintain metering and sampling facilities. Metro officials will be able to install, place, maintain and operate the facilities and their related equipment.
Council also OK’d rights for Metro to enter, re-enter and use easement property to install, maintain and operate a meter and other equipment on the easement and to let Metro construct and maintain a so-called “force main” connection. Those pipelines convey wastewater from the discharge side of a pump to a discharge point, according to google.com.
Veterans’ Day
