The Fort Lupton Chamber of Commerce announced its new executive director July 13.

"We are excited to have Cody LeBlanc join the chamber as our new executive director," said Joanna Sequeria, board president, in a Facebook post. "With his knowledge of local government, nonprofits, coupled with his love of Fort Lupton, I only expect this chamber to grow leaps and bounds under his leadership."

LeBlanc also serves on the Weld Re-8 board of education.

"With his ambitious and energetic attitude, I can't wait to see where he will not only take the chamber itself but the city as well," Sequeria's statement read.

LeBlanc's most recent position was as director of outreach for U.S. Rep. Ken Buck, where he assisted constituents and businesses with navigating federal agencies, applying for grants and offering contests and events, according to the Facebook post. It also said, "Cody is dedicated to developing strong relationships, expanding value of chamber membership, championing local business, and creating unique opportunities to showcase all that Fort Lupton has to offer."

LeBlanc is a sixth-generation native of Fort Lupton. He also owns a business, The KM Cup on Fourth Street.

"I am very excited to lead the Fort Lupton chamber as we become even more robust," said LeBlanc in the post. ""I love our city, and the opportunity to serve as the executive director allows me a position to help the organization and our community build a dynamic future."
