Fall baseball league tryouts this weekend

Tryouts for the Slammers North 16U fall league baseball team run from 9 a.m. to noon, Aug. 18, at the indoor facility at Dicks Sporting Goods in Broomfield and from 1 to 4 p.m., Aug. 19, at Fort Lupton High School.

      The program competes in games and tournaments during the fall. It’s designed for elite high school players.

      The tryouts are free. The fall league fees are $450, which do not include travel costs.
