Dora Quintana

     Dora Quintana, 92, of Westminster, died Feb. 1, 2012, in Lafayette.
    She was born Oct. 31, 1919, in Brillante, N.M., to Miguel Quintana and Beatrice Mares. She attended Independence School in Fort Lupton and received her nursing degree from Denver Community College in 1969.


    She worked at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal as an inspector during World War II and for the Fort Lupton Canning Co. She was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church in Fort Lupton and, when the church celebrated its centennial, Dora was honored as one of the original members.
    Dora is survived by her children, Lucy Guzman, of Alameda, Calif., Sharon (Pete) Quintero, of Brighton, Pat (Jo) Mora, of Fort Lupton, Theresa (Tony) Montoya, of Westminster, Ray (Jenny) Mendoza, of Westminster, and Jude (Dean) Martinez, of Brighton; sister, Irene Rivera, of Westminster; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Montoya.
    A Rosary was Feb. 6. Mass of Christian burial was Feb. 7, both at St. Williams Catholic Church in Fort Lupton. Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Crane Court Assisted Living, 240 S. Denver Ave., Fort Lupton, CO 80621.
    Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled arrangements.
