Cheryl May Marie Ryan

Cheryl May Marie Ryan, 57, of Fort Morgan and formerly of Fort Lupton, passed over Feb. 7, 2012.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Dorothy and Don Watts, of Fort Morgan.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Jake Tetrault, of Fairplay; her niece, Amy; grand-nieces, Sidney and Zoe Tetrault; and her nephew, Josh Tetrault, all of Denver. She also had a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cheryl was devoted to her family and a true friend to any who knew her. Close friends, Bobby Yazell, Janet Cooper, Marvin Koger and Debra Bratsrsovsky, who has adopted Max, will sorely miss her.

Cheryl championed uncounted dogs, cats, hamsters, fish and, sometimes, humans. Nursing, caring for, and searching relentlessly for safe homes and shelters, she regretted she could not keep them all. Some of her successes were Hansel, the Spikes, Bart, and, of course, Chewey.
Always a dedicated worker, Cheryl ran Fort Lupton Equipment Rental and Fort Lupton Auto Parts for a number of years. She also had her own book-keeping business and worked as an office manager for the truck stop at Interstate 25 and state Highway 52. She worked in different fields as a caregiver, bartender and in other capacities.
A special thanks goes out to the staff at East Morgan County Hospital in Brush and to Lori G. and staff of Hospice of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Cheryl’s life at 2 p.m., Feb. 18, at her home in Fort Morgan.
Memorial contributions may be made to the local Humane Society or Hospice of Northern Colorado.
