FREDERICK -- Frederick's Diego Rangel won the 150-pound championship at this year's Golden Eagle Invitational, held Jan. 14 at Frederick High School. Rangel pinned all three of his opponents, including Vista Peak's Zachary Voltura in the finals.
Santana Leon took second place in the 126-pound weight class Leon pinned his first three opponents before losing to Greeley Central's Makai Alirez of Greeley Central in the finals.
Adrian Castillo wound up second at 157 pounds. After a first-round bye, Casillas pinned his two opponents before losing to Silver Creek's Kieran Carter in the finals,
FHS finished eighth in the team standings.
