Bluedevils open soccer season at Lakewood tournament

          Fort Lupton’s girls soccer team opens the 2010 season with a one-game appearance in the South Lakewood Classic.

            The game is at 4:30 p.m., Friday at 3608 S. Kipling Parkway, Lakewood. It will be against the loser of Green Mountain/Kennedy.

            It’s the only game the Bluedevils can play in the tourney. Coach Michael Pineda said the tournament helps fill a vacancy created when a game between Fort Lupton and Horizon was canceled.

            “We have a full schedule,” Pineda said.
