Bluedevils are third in EMAC wrestling tournament

AURORA -- Fort Lupton's wrestlers finished third in the inaugural Eastern Metro Athletic Conference wrestling tournament Saturday at Hinkley High School.

Derek Salinas, Jordan LaRorche and Timmy Ornelas went through the tournament undefeated.

Fort Lupton heads for its state-qualifying tournament at Thomspon Valley High School, 1669 Eagle Drive, Loveland, Feb. 11 and 12. The top four wrestlers in each weight class – plus challenge match winners – advance to the state 4A tournament at Pepsi Center in Denver starting Feb. 17
    Other teams scheduled to participate include Alameda, Erie, Fort Morgan, Greeley Central, Frederick, Greeley Central, Longmont, Mountain View, Niwot, Northridge, Silver Creek, Skyline, Skyview, Sterling, Thompson Valley and Windsor high schools.
