Arthur Ennos Craig, 84, of Brighton, died Oct. 10, 2011 in Denver. He was one of 13 children, born Feb. 13, 1927, in Wymore, Neb., to Clayton and Alta (Scott) Craig. He was raised in the Liberty and Wymore area and was baptized at the Frog Pond Church near Union Center.
Arthur farmed for a large part of his life; however, upon moving to Diller he purchased and operated Craig’s Milk Route, hauling bulk milk from the farms to the dairies. After his retirement, he cared for his wife, Sylvie, during the last 10 years of her life. After her death in 2005, he moved to Colorado where he lived with his daughter, Sylvia, and her family.
He spent the majority of his time in Colorado taking care of the animals and birds in the neighborhood or watching old Western movies and watching television.
Arthurs is survived by four children, Sylvie (Mark) Neeley, of Brighton, Arthur Jr. (Joyce) Craig of Diller, Neb., Sondra (Larry) Kotas, of Diller, and Sonja Griffith of Beatrice, Neb.; three sisters, Mildred Stevens of Beatrice, Neva Fischer of Blair, Neb., and Inez Willet of Beatrice; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and nine brothers, Walter, Raymond (Ted), Vern, Leonard, Roy, Bill, Robert Donald and Paul.
