  • Holiday lighting contest; judging date is Dec. 19

    The Fort Lupton Chamber of Commerce, along with United Power, is sponsoring the fourth annual Holiday Lighting Contest. All residents of the city of Fort Lupton are automatically eligible for the contest.

    Weld County residents residing within five miles of Fort Lupton will be eligible to be a part of the contest after contacting Sandy at the Fort Lupton Chamber office at 303-857-4474.

    Judging Date: Thursday, Dec. 19, at 6 p.m (All lights must be turned on by 6 p.m.)

  • Pizza Hut reopening Nov. 14

        Pizza Hut will be celebrating its grand reopening at noon Thursday, Nov. 14. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony, discounts, samples, a raffle, and gifts. Come and see the NEW Pizza Hut at its same location.
     

  • Second annual Main Street Trick or Treat set for Oct. 31

    Denver Avenue businesses in Fort Lupton are hosting the second annual Main Street Trick or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, along the avenue between Third and Fifth streets.
        The Fort Lupton Chamber of Commerce says this is a safe alternative to traditional trick or treating and will feature live music, games, costume contests and prizes. Kids, and parents, of all ages are invited to participate in this safe celebration of the Halloween season.

  • Anadarko Petroleum donates $300K to the Weld County Flood Relief Fund

    GREELEY — Anadarko Petroleum Corporation made a $300,000 contribution to the Weld County Flood Relief Fund last month.
        The fund is a collaboration between the Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County and the United Way of Weld County.
        Amy Venturi, director of social investment for Anadarko, shared the reasoning and thoughts behind the contribution.

  • Iconic Mill restaurant closes its doors in Fort Lupton

    FORT LUPTON — The iconic restaurant inside the historic mill on Seventh Street closed Sept. 20 after more than a quarter century in business.

    Owner and head chef Robert Vigil thanked his many loyal customers and the city of Fort Lupton for the many happy memories.

    Vigil, a Colorado native from Brush, opened the restaurant with his wife, Mary, in 1985 — 10 years after the mill closed.

  • New 100-room hotel headed for Fort Lupton

    FORT LUPTON — The city has finalized a deal with a new 100-room hotel planned for the vacant lot north of Safeway, city officials announced last week.

    The planned hotel will be a Fairfield Inn and Suites, part of the national Marriott family of hotels.

    City Administrator Claud Hanes said the new development would be on the eastern end of the lot and could help anchor more new businesses in that part of the city.

  • Grand-opening events set for O’Reilly

        FORT LUPTON — After opening last month, the new O’Reilly Auto Parts store at 100 S. Harrison Ave. will be celebrating its grand opening this month.

        There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19. Andrew Massey, on behalf of the entire company, will present a $200 check to the Food Bank of Fort Lupton.
        From Sept. 18 through Oct. 1, customers can stop in the store and register for a $200 gift card that will be drawn for on Oct. 1.

    The new O'Reilly Auto Parts store opened in Fort Lupton Aug. 17. The new retailer, at the corner of First Street and Rollie Avenue, will formally celebrate the opening with a planned ribbon cutting ceremony Sept. 19.

        This month’s Fort Lupton Chamber of Commerce social will be at the Fort in Fort Lupton (on Historical parkway) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Aug. 8
