• John William Quinby

    John William Quinby, 72, of Commerce City and Brighton, went home to be with the Lord May 19, 2014. He was born to Mark and Frances, and married Pauline in 1963.

    He is survived by his wife, Pauline; daughters, Lisa (Guy), Laura (Jack) and April (Brett); 20 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and four siblings. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, John.

  • Linda Crenshaw

    Linda Crenshaw, 70, of Lochbuie, passed away. She was born Jan. 8, 1944. She was married to husband, Clint, for 36 years, living 35 of them in Colorado.


    She is survived by three children, David Edgar, Jerry Edgar and Jennifer Edger; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


  • Sterling Kenneth 'Ken' Price

    Sterling Kenneth “Ken” Price was born June 7, 1949.  He grew up in Fort Lupton; graduated from CSU, and worked in the Denver area most of his life.  He died unexpectedly May 23,2014.

    Ken is survived by his two sisters, Dorothy Price Knudson, of Walla Walla, Wash., and Carole Price, of Fort Lupton; and two nieces and a nephew.

    Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Friday, May 30, at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wheat Ridge.

    Charles E. Carden, 75, of Hudson, passed away May 17, 2014. He was born Aug. 5, 1938, to Rev. E.W. Carden and Ruby Carden.

  • Genevieve 'Jean' Smith

    Genevieve “Jean” Smith, 80, of Brighton, passed away on May 18, 2014. Jean was born to Roy and Iris Wells.

    Jean is survived by her children, Ronette and Jeffrey, as well as a grandchild.

  • Sandra L. Ridgeway

    Sandra L. Tonabelle Ridgeway, 65, of Brighton, passed away May 17, 2014, in Lakewood. She was born to Benny Lovato and Eva Archuleta.

    Sandra is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Jeremy) Atiyeh; four brothers, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

    Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton.

  • Felizardo Holguin Caraveo

    Felizardo Holguin Caraveo, 93, of Brighton, passed away May 13, 2014, at his home.

    He is survived by his children, Luz (John) Mirelez, Alafonso (Micaela) Holguin, Felizardo (Gema) Holguin, Letecia (Albaro) Morales, Epimenio (Ramona) Holguin, Martin (Emma) Herrera of La Magdalena, Mexico. Other survivors include 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

    Rosary service was May 15. Mass of Christian Burial was May 16 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment will be held in Mexico.

  • Juanita L. Rucker

    Juanita L. Rucker, 89, of Brighton, passed away May 13, 2014, in Lakewood. She was born Aug. 13, 1924, in Oshkosh, Neb., to Pat Phillips and Helen (Bassett). She graduated from Oshkosh High School and later married John Rucker in 1953 in Henderson.

         Juanita was the executive director of Adams County Red Cross for 24 years. She also owned and operated Rucker Realty beginning in the early 1980s. Also farmed and ranched in Henderson area for many years.


  • Linda (Baldwin) Armstrong

    Linda (Baldwin) Armstrong, of Dacono, passed away May 8, 2014, in Denver

    She was born to Mary J. Carlson and Russell C. Baldwin, Sr.

    She is survived by a son, Marion C. Johnson; two sisters, a brother, a granddaughter, 11 nieces and nephews, and 13 grat-nieces and nephews.

    Memorial service and private interment will be held at a later date. Erlinger Funeral Home of Fort Lupton is handling the arrangements.


  • James O. Jackson

    James O. Jackson, 73, of Bennett and formerly of Ft. Lupton, went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2014, with his loving family by his side. He was born Oct. 14, 1940 in Colcord, Okla., to Dea Jackson and Lily Gann. He graduated from high school in 1958 and later married Wanda McCray on June 26, 1960 in Wichita, Kan.


    James lived in Bennett for the past 12 years and previously lived in Fort Lupton for 39 years. He was the owner and operator of Cherokee Vac Services for 26 years and attended Orchard Church.
