  • Leonard J. Heit

    Leonard J. Heit passed away Feb. 11, 2015.

    He is survived by  daughters Marcia Heit, Marilyn (Charles) Robbins, Amy (Brian) Moore; a sister and five grandchildren.

    Rosary Service will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton; Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Feb. 20 at St. William Catholic Church in Fort Lupton. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

  • Jim White

    Jim White, of Brighton, passed away Feb. 13, 2015, at the age of 80. He was born March 15, 1934, in Denver, to Harry and Margaret (Schutt) White.

    He grew up in the Commerce City area and graduated from Adams City High School in 1953. During high school he joined the Navy Reserves and later enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in Florida.

  • Nancy Josephine Brooks

    Nancy Josephine Brooks, 76, passed away Feb. 7, 2015, in Brighton. She was born to Leo A. and Rita Pfaendtner Young. 

    She is survived by seven children, Barbara (Arden) Youmans, Dorothy Brooks, Kimberly (Ernie) Culver, Tammy (Chris) Krell, Scot (Christine) Brooks, Paula (Steven) Annala and Jeffery (Renanne) Brooks; 27 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and four siblings.

  • Carla J. Adams-Dever

    Carla J. Adams-Dever, 51, of Keenesburg, passed away Feb. 11, 2015, in Brighton. She was born to George and Evonne (Arnold) Adams.

    A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at the Keenesburg American Legion Hall, 595 Railroad Avenue in Keenesburg.

    Tabor-Rice Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

  • Candice L. Quedenfeld

    Candice L. “Candy” Quedenfeld, 59, passed away Feb. 8, 2015. She was born to Ron and Margaret Sheeley. 

    Candy is survived by her husband of 26 years, Dan; sons, Michael and Matthew; two sisters, and her parents, Ron and Margaret Sheeley.

  • Diane Elaine King

    Diane Elaine King “Deb”, 66, of Fort Lupton, passed Feb. 13, 2015, at her home. She was born to R. Paul and M. Crystal Brown.

    She is survived by her two brothers, a niece, two nephews,  six grand-nieces and nephews; and many others.

  • Calvin S. Christensen

    Calvin S. Christensen, 61, passed away Feb. 13, 2015, in Hudson. He was born March 25, 1953, to Nels and Bettie Christensen, in Estelline, S.D.

  • Jack Lewis Jr.

    Jack Lewis Jr., 77, formerly of Fort Lupton, died Jan. 6, 2015, at Avamere Care Center in Brighton. 

    He is survived by brothers, Tom Lewis (Dora) and Frank Lewis; and sisters, Josephine W. Gutierrez and Rosie Padilla (Angel).

    Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at St. Williams Catholic Church Fort Lupton Colo. Internment followed at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton.

  • Roberta A. Brake

    Roberta A. Brake died peacefully Jan. 23, 2015, in Denver, Colorado.

    A blessing born in Pennsylvania to Robert E. and Mary E. Oyler, Mrs. Brake traveled the world in service to our military, retiring from the federal government after 34 years of dedicated service.
