  • Thomas D. Cunningham

        Thomas D. Cunningham, 74, passed away Oct. 3, 2013, in Greeley. He was born Feb. 15, 1939, in Denver, to Daniel and Margaret (Cudahy) Cunningham.
        Thomas is survived by siblings, Pat (Jim) Raine, of Greeley, Kathleen Pike, of Cramerton, N.C., and Joe Cunningham, of Clear Lake, Calif., and seven nieces and nephews. Other survivors include numerous great nieces, nephews and one great-great nephew.
        A graveside service was Oct. 8, 2013, at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

  • Annie L. Nelson

        Annie L. Nelson, 85, of Commerce City, passed away Sept. 30, 2013 in Keenesburg. She was born July 14, 1928, in Lacede County, Mo., to Orestus and Ova (Philips) Chastain. She married Lowell Nelson in November 1951 in Missouri.
        She lived in the Commerce City, Henderson and Brighton area since 1965. She loved camping, fishing, crocheting and working in her garden. She also loved to argue about politics.

  • Viola S. Lobato

        Viola S. Lobato, 83, of Brighton, passed away Oct. 1, 2013, at her home. She was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Rodarte, N.M., to Jose F. and Nicasia (Medina) Sanchez. She married Leopoldo Lobato on May 9, 1949, in Penasco, N.M.
        Viola dedicated her life to her husband and children. She loved to attend and support her church and loved to accompany her husband to church camp in Chama, N.M. She enjoyed her time with family and she loved to cook for her children and grandchildren.

  • Betty Ann Rodabaugh

    Betty Ann Rodabaugh, 88, passed away Oct. 1, 2013. She was born Jan. 16, 1925. She was preceded by her husband, Harold Jesse Rodabaugh Sr., in 1996; and her son Harold James Rodabaugh Jr. in 2009.
        She is survived by two daughters, Rita Wilson, of Lochbuie, and Carol Morris, of Hallettsville, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

  • Evelyn M. Townsend

        Evelyn M. Townsend, 41, of Commerce City, passed away Sept. 25, 2013. She was born Nov. 22, 1971, in Panama City, Panama, and married Tracy Townsend on Aug. 9, 1994, in Panama City. She moved to the United States in 1994 and to Colorado in 1996 and loved learning her new culture.

  • Marjorie R. Younger

    Marjorie Ruth Younger, 82, of Thornton, passed away Sept. 26, 2013, in Wheat Ridge. She was born June 16, 1931, in Weld County, to George and Olinda (Weickum) Krantz. She graduated from Adams City High School in 1949 and married Norman Younger on Feb. 25, 1950, in Adams County.
        Marjorie Ruth Younger is survived by her husband, Norman; five children, Gary (Sheila) Younger, Gregory Younger, Gwenda (David) Windholz, Janel (John) Younger, and Bryan (Pearl) Younger; brother, Dale Krantz; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

  • Ruth Ann Hummel

        Ruth Ann Hummel, 86, of Brighton, passed away Sept. 30, 2013. Born Feb. 13, 1927, in Alden, Iowa, to Floyd and Martha (Neunfeld) Barhite, she attended schools in Iowa Falls, Iowa, and married Ronald Hummel in 1950 in Iowa.

  • David Ross Blackston

        David R. Blackston, 53, of Platteville, passed away Sept. 28, 2013, at his home. He was born Aug. 13, 1960, in Brighton, to Douglas Blackston and Bertha Fincht. He attended schools in Longmont and Weld Central High School.
        He worked as a truck driver for 30 years. David enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming and animals in general. He was your ‘typical cowboy’. He also loved to spend time with his family, both children and grandchildren.

  • Norman L. Carlson

        Norman L. “Norm” Carlson went home to meet his Lord on Sept. 29, 2013. Norman was born Dec. 14, 1933, in Denver, to Peter J. and Agnes C. Carlson. He was raised in Commerce City. After graduating he served in the United States Coast Guard. He spent 33 years as an Engineering Specialist with Hewlett Packard (in Loveland, Ft. Collins, Vancouver, Wash., and Greeley), retiring in 1997.
