    Moises R. Diaz, 21, of Aurora, passed away Dec. 5, 2013. Born Feb. 3, 1992, in Brighton, to Tomas Ruiz and Nancy Diaz-Macias, he attended Aurora Central High School and was currently working as a security guard in Aurora.

  • Linda M. Garrett

    Linda M. Garrett, 65, of Brighton, passed away Dec. 5, 2013, in Brighton. She was born July 14, 1948, in Broomfield, to Albert and Florence (Beeler) Schillo. She graduated from Broomfield High School and continued her education at University of Northern Colorado.

    She married Richard Garrett on Sept. 3, 1967, in Boulder. Linda was currently working for the State of Colorado, Health & Human Services.

  • Phyllis May Sisk

    Phyllis Sisk, 94, of Rifle, passed away Dec. 3, 2013, in Brighton. She was born May 30, 1919, in Keya Paha County, Neb., to Max and Verna Frauen. She graduated from Springview High School and continued her education at Chadron State Teaching College and Business College in South Dakota. She moved to California where she worked as a secretary in the ship yards. It was while in California that she met Charles Sisk, who had two young sons. The couple was married on Feb. 9, 1947, in Torrance, Calif.

  • Vicki Eileen Bilak

    Vicki Kramer Bilak, 69, died Dec. 4, 2013, at North Colorado Medical Center Hospice in Greeley. She was born May 23, 1944, in Brighton, to Victor and Gertrude Kramer. After graduation from Brighton Senior High School in 1962, she went on to Bethel Nursing School in Colorado Springs and graduated in 1965.


  • Gladys L. (Warner) Doud

    Gladys L. (Warner) Doud, 96, of Waterloo, Wisc., formerly of Fort Lupton, passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, surrounded by family. Gladys was the last survivor of four siblings.

  • John Toshio Sadahiro

    John Toshio Sadahiro, 82, of Ft. Lupton, passed away Dec. 1, 2013, at his home. He was born Jan. 3, 1931, in Kersey, Colo., to Kaichi and Nobu (Hirata) Sadahiro. He graduated from Fort Lupton High School in 1949. From 1953 to 1955, he served in the U.S. Army, serving one tour in Japan.

  • Rochelle Ranae Borm

    Rochelle (Shelly) Ranae Borm, 25, passed away at her home on Nov. 13, 2013.

    Shelly was born on Feb. 16, 1988, in Sidney, Neb., to Tracy and Sue Borm. She attended schools in Commerce City and Bridgeport, Neb. She received her GED in Colorado in 2006.

    Shelly will be most remembered for her contagious laughter and the love she had for life and for her family. She enjoyed all genres of music and movies, and had plans to attend school to pursue a career in broadcasting.

  • Isaac Jake Archuleta

    Isaac Jake Archuleta, 72, of Thornton, passed away Nov. 29, 2013. He was born Feb. 26, 1941, in Garcia, Colo., to Carlos and Emilia Archuleta.

    He attended North High School and worked as a barber in Colorado for 50 years at Garland Barber Shop in Northglenn. Isaac married Maria Archuleta on Feb. 10, 1968.

  • John L. Berry

    John L. Berry, 83, of Brighton, died on Nov. 28, 2013, in Brighton. He was born June 29, 1930, in Silver Springs, Md., to John A. and Ellen V. (Olson) Berry. He attended school in Silver Springs. John married Etta Mae Gardom on Feb. 24, 1956, in McNary, Ariz.


    Moving from Arizona, John lived in Brighton since 1960. He worked 38 years for McCoy Caterpillar, now Wagner Equipment.

  • Ronald E. Banham

    Ronald E. Banham, 64, passed away Nov. 26, 2013.

    He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 15th, 1949 to Erma and Henry Banham. Ron graduated Olympus High School and received a Bachelors Degree in Business from the University of Utah. He was married to Kathryn Banham.
