    Eldon Ford Bennett, 75, of Vermillion, Kan., died March 26, 2015, at his home.

    Eldon was born Nov. 22, 1939, in Goodland, Kan., to Harry and Inez Bennett. He graduated high school in 1957 and attended Kansas State University and Ft. Hays College, earning a bachelor of science degree in business economics. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars.

    Ruth Cade, 89, of Brighton, passed away on April 4, 2015. She was born on March 28, 1926, to John H. and Verla V. (Dow) McCoy in Villisca, Iowa. She attended Villisca schools and obtained her cosmetology license in Iowa.

  • Evelyn "Peggy" Cramer

    Evelyn “Peggy” Cramer passed away on April 1, 2015, after a long illness. Born Aug. 30, 1925, in Fort Lupton to Eugene and Eda Welsh, she was the youngest of seven children. On July 17, 1943, she married Jay D. Cramer. They had three children, Connie, Jim, and, Becky. Throughout their 52 years of marriage they often traveled to Florida, where Peggy collected seashells for her art projects.

    Juanita Morales Putnam, 87, of Longmont, passed away March 25, 2015, at Green House Homes at Mirasol in Loveland. She was born on May 6, 1927, in LaSalle to Stephen Morales and Maria De Jesus Perez.

    Juanita grew up in Fort Lupton and graduated from Fort Lupton High School in 1945. She later attended Denver Community College. She married Neil Putnam in July 1972 and they moved to Longmont.

    David Charles McGuire, 92, died on March 27, 2015, in Denton, Texas. He was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Waldo, Kan., to Willis Chester and Eunice Belle (Galley) McGuire.

    Marjorie Elaine Hughbanks, 76, of Northglenn, passed away March 20, 2015, in Thornton. She was born to Albert and Ruby Hughbanks.

    Private services will be held. Erlinger Funeral Home of Fort Lupton is handling the arrangements.

  • Irene June Martin

    Longtime Fort Lupton resident Irene June Martin, 83, died Sunday, March 29, 2015. She was born June 11, 1931, the daughter of Ray Dreiling and Theresa (Urban).

    Irene was raised and attended school in Sharon Springs, Kan. On Dec. 2, 1954, Irene and Raymond Martin were married in Raton, N.M. They lived in Goodland, Kan., until they moved to Fort Lupton in 1967, where they were successful business owners of the Sugar Shack Café and the Fort Lupton Bingo Hall.

  • Albert John DeSarro

    Al DeSarro, 65, of Thornton, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015. He was born to Albert and Rita (Bliley) DeSarro.

    He is survived by a daughter, Andrea DeSarro; two sisters, Barbara DeSarro and Mary Ann DeSarr; and four brothers, William DeSarro, Joseph DeSarro, Vincent DeSarro, and Mark DeSarro.

    Private internment will be held at a later date Arrangements being handled by Tabor-Rice Funeral Home.
