  • Theodore J. Mascarenas

    Theodore J. Mascarenas, 57, of Brighton, passed away April 18, 2015. He was born June 7, 1957, in Leadville, Colorado, to Selestino and Manuelita (Garcia) Mascarenas. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1976 and attended University of Northern Colorado for one year.

  • Patricia Rodriguez

    Patricia Rodriguez, 87, of Brighton, passed away April 15, 2015, in Thornton. She was born to Jose Sanchez-Lopez and Juana M. Rodriguez-Villalobos. Patricia is survived by her siblings, Ludyvina Polanco, Tomas Sanchez, Fidencio Sanchez and Antonia Maez.

    A Celebration of Life was held April 19, 2015 at The Healing Place Church. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

  • Elmer Montague Rose

    Elmer Montague Rose, 87, of Brighton, advanced to heaven, with family by his side, April 15, 2015. He was born on April 21, 1927, in McClure, Dickenson County, Virginia, to Rita Ellen (Fletcher) and Barney Rose. On Oct. 5, 1946, he married Velma Belle Faxon and together they had a son Edward Allen Rose. On Nov. 8, 1969, Velma passed away. He married Betty Nichols on Oct. 22, 1970, which added three children into the family, Wanda Nichols, Bill Nichols, and Debra Nichols.

  • Brady Ronald Beckel

    Brady Ronald Beckel, 19, of Strasburg, passed away April 13, 2015. He was born to Ronald and Linda (Holland) Beckel. Brady is survived by his parents, Ronald and Linda Beckel; his grandparents; sister, Laura Beckel; brother, Timmy Beckel; and several other relatives.

    Memorial service was held April 20 at Fourway Baptist Church, 9966 County Road 41 in Fort Lupton. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

  • William Joseph Neville

    William Joseph Neville, July 1, 1940 - April 14, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; and niece, Nancy Silva.

    Bill was born and grew up in Staten Island, N.Y., joined the U.S. Air Force after high school and spent eight years serving his country. After his service he studied and worked as a veterinary technician in Connecticut. He maried Beverly on June 30, 1968, and soon moved west to Colorado.

  • Dionicio Diaz Cardona

     Dionicio Diaz Cardona, 83, of Fort Lupton, died April 12, 2015, in Brighton. He was born to Dionicio Diaz and Julia Cardona Avila.

    He is survived by his children, Jesus Diaz, Andres Diaz, Rafael Diaz, Rodrigo Diaz, and Julia Hernandez Mercedes; 39 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

    Pall bearers are Jesus Diaz, Andres Diaz, Rafael Diaz, Rodrigo Diaz, Ivan Diaz, and Erik Hernandez.

  • Jessie Renee Crowe

    Renee Crowe, 54, of Fort Lupton, passed Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at St Anthony Central Hospital in Lakewood from septic shock caused by an infection related to chemotherapy treatment for cancer. Renee was born July 1, 1960, in Brush, Colorado, to Ernest and Marie (Dove) Blake. She married Joel Crowe on March 9, 1979, in Brighton. They have two children, Jessie Marie Crowe, 11, and Blake Ernest Crowe, 16. The family has lived in the Brighton and Fort Lupton area all of their married life.

  • Ben A. Ginther, Jr.

    Ben A. Ginther, Jr., passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 4, 2015. He was born to Ben and Mariàn-Esther (Flint) Ginther on May 23, 1925. He would have been 90 next month. His ancestors were among the wave of Russian-Germans who came to this area in the 1880s. Ben grew up on the Adams County farm that his German grandfather had bought in 1902, and farmed there until 2009.

  • Betty Lou Swick

    Betty Lou Swick, 82, of Arkansas City, died Thursday, April 16, 2015, at South Central Kansas Medical Center. No services are scheduled at this time. 

    Betty was born to Walter and Mabel (Schroaf) Sittman. 

  • Donna Crisman

    Donna Crisman, 67, passed away at the family home northwest of Bennett on April 14, 2015.

    Donna was born to Dan and Margaret Nelson.

    She leaves behind her husband of 43 years Kent Crisman; daughters Marnie Dickinson and Kendra Slater; three grandchildren, her sister Linda Jenkins, and  numerous nieces and nephews.
