  • Fort Lupton couple celebrates 68 years of marriage

        The love of family and more grandkids than they can count.
        George and Barbara Gaul say it’s the simple things that have sustained them through more than six decades of marriage.
        “We worked together,” Barbara said. “And our family comes first. We have raised four good kids. We haven’t had any problems with any of the kids.
        “No drinkers, no druggers,” George added.

  • Joyce and Eldon Aasby celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

     

     

    The family of Joyce and Eldon Aasby are throwing a party to celebrate their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Aug. 6, at Mount Calvary Church, 650 S. Park Ave.
        The family requests no presents.

  • Nayla Fae Dexter

        Cari Micala and Brent Dexter, of Fort Lupton, announce the birth of their daughter, Nayla Fae Dexter.
        Nayla was born June 22, 2011, at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton. She weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 21 inches.
        Nayla’s grandparents are Deb Marroney, of Beulah, Jerry and Pam Marrney, of Lone Tree, Bob and Cheryl Dexter, of Jasper, Indiana. Her great-grandparents are Bob and Faye Purvis, of Beulah.
        Nayla joins siblings Nevaeh, 8, and Mathaes, 7, at home.

  • Dailey to celebrate 90th

        June Dailey, a former resident and teacher, celebrates her 90th birthday, June 18.

        To celebrate the milestone, a cake and punch reception will take place from 1 to 4 p.m., July 10, at the Fort Lupton Recreation Center, 203 S. Harrison Ave. All friends and former students are invited to attend.

  • Courseys celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary

    Betty and Henry Coursey, former Fort Lupton residents, will be returning briefly to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary. 
        An open house will be from 2 to 4 p.m., June 5, at the fire department, 1121 N. Denver Ave., Fort Lupton. Their four children – George Coursey, Linda Johnson, Richard Coursey, and Patricia Hinds – are the hosts and hostesses.

  • Lindsey celebrates 100th birthday

    The years just flew, and before we knew, Brighton’s Annie Lindsey was 10 decades old.


        Join us for the birthday party of the century from 2 to 4 p.m., June 4, at the clubhouse of Eastgate Village, 3060 E. Bridge St., Brighton.

    On April 23, 2011, a celebration of a lifetime of love was enjoyed by family and friends of Mary (Billinger) and Albert Herrman. The occasion was their 65th wedding anniversary.

    Robert and Felicita Brown will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 3 to 6 p.m., May 7, at the Pepper Pod Restaurant, 530 Fir St., Hudson.


        Their children and grandchildren are hosting the event. The couple requests no gifts.

    The families of Melissa Miers and Greg Gustus, of Brighton, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children.
        The wedding will be at 3 p.m., April 30, 2011, at Ribbons ‘N’ Rainbows Event Center in Platteville.
        The bride is the daughter of Rick Miers, of Greeley, and Cynthia Dietz, of Martindale, Texas. The groom is the son of Wayne and Stacey Gustus, of Fort Lupton.
