  • Penfolds to celebrate 70th wedding anniversary

    Jim and Kay Penfold will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Ave. in Greeley. James and Kay were married June 6, 1943, in Sidney, Neb.

  • Thorpe, Flores to wed

        Jack and Andrea Thorpe, of Fort Lupton, proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, NaSeana June, to John Eric Flores, son of Guadalupe Flores, of Ennis, Texas. NaSeana is a 2005 graduate of Fort Lupton High School, and John recently completed two deployments as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. NaSeana attended the University of Texas in Arlington and works as a veterinary technician in Westminster. John works at Sashco in Brighton.

        After a June wedding in Evergreen, the couple plans to make their home in Arvada.

  • Richard and Margie Imhof celebrate 70th anniversary

    You might see them walking side by side in Fort Lupton for their afternoon stroll.  This is the way their 70 years have been together.

        Dick and Marge married on April 19, 1943, in Fort Lupton.  They settled down in Fort Lupton and began a family. They have three children, Betty Taylor, of Longmont, Donnie (Myra) Imhof, of Central City, Neb., and Susie (Paul) Patzkowsky, of Longmont.

  • Willard, Deniz announce engagement

     

     

    Kylee Willard of Des Moines, Iowa, and Michael Deniz of Madera, Calif., are set to be married May 25 on the beautiful beaches of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

    Kylee is the daughter of Mr. Kevin and Mrs. Heather Willard, of Hudson, and Michael is the son of Mr. Julius and Mrs. Gwen Deniz of Chowchilla, Calif. The two were engaged in June 2012.

  • Howard, Guildner engaged

     

     

     

    Gary and Donna Howard, of Brighton, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Ashley Marie Howard to Corey Guildner, son of Kerry Guildner, of Bailey, and the late Virgil Guildner. A summer wedding is planned. Both are graduates of Fort Lupton High School.

  • Wambolt, Fitzpatrick wed

        Amanda Wambolt, originally of Fort Lupton, was united in marriage to Sean Fitzpatrick, of Denver, Oct. 27, 2012.
        The wedding took place at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver. Officiating at the ceremony was Mark Soufal, uncle of the groom.
        Amanda is the daughter of Effie Eiring & Herb Wambolt of Greeley. Sean is the son of Donna & Thomas Fitzpatrick of Philadelphia , Penn.

  • Thiesens to mark 60 years of marriage Jan. 27

    Lloyd and Iva Thiesen, of Fort Lupton, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at the Fort Lupton Recreation Center. Family and friends are invited and asked please to omit gifts.
        Hosts of the event are their children: Paula Conley, of Arvada, Ron and Jeanette Thiesen and Mark and Ronda Thiesen, all of Fort Lupton.

  • Ron, Jan Brown celebrate 50 years together

    Ronald and Janice Brown of rural Fort Lupton celebrated their 50th anniversary with 100 family and friends at a buffet luncheon at the Rendezvous Room within the newly built replica of “old Fort Lupton,” which as a fur trading fort in the 1800s.
