    Alison Landaw, the daughter of Dennis and Nadine Landaw, of Orrville, Ohio, and Andrew Cook, the son of Glenn and Gayle Cook, of Fort Lupton, announced their enagement.

        Alie is a 2004 graduate of Orrville High School and earned a undergraduate degree in exercise degree from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. She is now pursuing a graduate degree in coaching education at Ohio University.

        Rosalie and Anthony Marquez, of Brighton, announce the birth of their daughter, Sophia Marquez.

        Sophia was born April 5, 2010, at Platte Valley Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 19 inches.

        Sophia’s grandparents are Federico and Victoria Guerrero, and Merejildo and Marcella Castillo, of Brighton.

        Sophia joins siblings, Desiree, 17, Antoinette, 13, and Marisol, 6, at home.

        Sophie’s grandparents are Steve Kalmes and Cindy Solberg, of Eagle River, Alaska, Lane and Sue Kjellsen, of Pinehurst, N.C., and Joe and Janice Spivey, of Warrior, Ala. Her great-grandfather is Robert Sharp, of Leavenworth, Kan.
