Three people are in jail and could face a bevy of charges after a chase through Weld County Dec. 14.

Weld County sheriff's deputies identified the suspects as 35-year-old Jonathan Humphrey, 22-year-old Katrina Doig and 22-year-old Brittany Chandler. All three were at the Weld County Jail as of Dec. 16.

A press statement said depiuties tried to pull Humphrey's car over near the intersection of Weld County roads 22 and 39, northeast of Aristocrat Ranchettes, shortly after 11 p.m. Humphrey pulled away from the traffic stop. As deputies chased the vehicle, they reported someone throwing items, later determined to be heroin and drug paraphernalia, from the car.

Deputies used stop sticks to bring the chase to an end. Fort Lupton and Platteville police assisted, as did trooper with the Colorado State Patrol.

Humphrey could face several traffic violations as well as counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and an unrelated warrant. Doig could face a charge of influencing a public servant and possession of drug paraphernalia. Chandler's list of potential charges includes unlawful possession of Schedule 1 and 2 substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. It's up to the Weld County District Attorney's Office to make the decision.
