Police blotter March 8

This is a summary of reports to the Fort Lupton Police Department from March 2 to March 8. 

March 2

Police issued a summons to Lucia Martinez, 22, of Greeley, a summons at U.S. Highway 85 and Weld County Road 14.5. She was speeding too fast for the conditions, causing a traffic accident, and driving without a license.

Police also summonsed Raul Falcon-Perez, 25, of Greeley, at U.S. Highway 85 and Weld County Road 16 for causing atraffic accident by driving too fast for the conditions.

Police also arrested Paul Rosales-Gomez, 22, of Fort Lupton, in the 600 block of Fourth Street for driving as a habitual traffic offender, a hitandrun traffic accident, failing to report an accident and careless driving. He at the Weld County Jail.

Police issued a summons to Edith Quintana, 23, of Miliken, at U.S. Highway 85 and First Street for causing a traffic accident by driving too fast for the conditions.

Police issued a summons to Ernesto Montoya, 56, of Fort Lupton, for a careless driving causing an accident at Reynolds Street and South Denver Avenue.

Justin Spletzer, 38, of Thornton, received a summons after a traffic accident in the 200 block of First Street. Police said the summons was for driving too closely and driving while license is under restraint.

Police arrested 29-year-old Christopher Castillo, of Loveland, at 10th Street and Denver Avenue. Reports said the arrest was for possession of schedule II drugs, violation of protection order and driving under restraint. He was at the Weld County Jail.

Police took Nicholas Carroll, 22, of Fort Lupton, into custody in the 300 block of South McKinley Avenue for a warrant out of Weld County for failure to comply with conditions of a pretrial on a protection order violation. He was at the Weld County Jail.

David Ellis, 66, of Fort Lupton, reported a burglary of his garage in the 800 block of Third Street. The case was under investigation.

Police issued a summons to 29-year-old Krystal Baker, of Fort Lupton, at Ninth Street and Denver Avenue for limitations on backing.
