New growth agreement for Fort Lupton, Brighton

Fort Lupton and Brighton governments have a big deal to celebrate.

The two cities entered into an intergovernmental agreement that will create future growth and planning.

Counci signed its part of the intergovernmental agreement recently. The original was set to expire March 10. Some properties that were not within Fort Lupton boundary agreement in 2009 will now be included.

Fort Lupton’s potential goals are the annexation of the Perry Pit Parcels south of Weld County Road 4 . In the future, potential purchases of parcels for continued water storage.
