FLHS afterprom

The Fort Lupton High School Booster Club is having its annual afterprom event for students that will be substance-free.

“We have been having this event for the last few years. We created this event to be a safe environment for students to hang out have fun and be safe,” said Jimmy Roedel, Fort Lupton High School student.

The booster club parents and community are planning the supervised event party in the commons and gym, from 11 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5. The event is for all students from freshmen to seniors. It includes food, dancing to music of top hits, gifts and the chance to win prizes. Participants can also play games such as foosball, pool, casinos tables, and bingo, and there will be a chance to take photos with friends at the photo booth.

“It has absolutely been a success and each year, it continues to grow. We put the event on to provide a safe, substance-free environment for all the students grades nine thru 12, regardless of prom attendance. This event would not be possible without the support of the community members, volunteers, and businesses,” said Mary Leblanc, Bank of Colorado president.
