Firefighters from several agencies needed about three hours to put out a fiure at the Noble Energy plant northeast of Hudson Nov. 7.

About 30 gallons burned at the corner of Weld County Roads 30 and 47.5, which is northeast of Artistocrat Ranchettes and about 10 miles northeast of Hudson.

No injuries were reported. Authorities said it was a gas explosion, but they were not sure if it involved a transformer station.

Residents and businesses within a mile of the plant were under evacuation orders.

Crews from the Fort Lupton, Platteville/Gilcrest and Hudson fire departments were among those on the scene. Fort Lupton Fire Chief Phil tiffany said his department sent an engine, a foam trailer and a brush truck for a total of five firefighters.

"We used 660 gallons of foam," he said in a tweet.
