Board considers more lenient rules for school athletes

-A A +A
By Leo Wolfson

School board members could consider making academic standards more on par with neighboring high schools like Frederick High School and Brighton High School by offering more lenient standards for Fort Lupton High School athletes in the future.

The board previously approved a “no F” policy for sports eligibility in April 2016. The current policy is more lenient than the former mandatory 2.0 grade point average requirement, and now board members are considering instituting a “one F” maximum for participation in all sports and clubs.
