Fort Lupton school safety upgrades include new physical safety features, a new school resource officer and new school psychologists.

While new safety features were planned as part of a voter-approved school district bond measure in 2016, residents’ interest in safety rose after a high school shooting in Parkland, Florida, left 17 dead in February. Three school lockdowns followed in February and the beginning of March in Fort Lupton.
