Barricaded man in custody in Firestone

-A A +A

Firestone police arrested a barricaded man shortly after 7 p.m. March 8. No one was injured.

A press statement said he'd barricaded himself inside a home near Firestone and Colorado boulevards. Officers were afraid the man, whose name wasn't released, might take his own life.

Police issued a reverse 911 to residents in the area to make them aware of the police presence, according to the statement.

Police said there was no danger to the public; however, because of the nature of the incident, police officials won't release any more information.
