On Saturday, May 11, Lenny Bachicha will be inducted into the Colorado Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.  

    Bachicha has coached wrestling for 25 years and comes from a family legacy of the sport. He will join both his father and brother who are also in the hall of fame.

    Bachicha says he has a bond with children of all ages, “from age 4 to seniors in high school,” and a selfless personality to match.

    FORT LUPTON — Fort Lupton High School senior Savannah Barry’s already bright future just went up a couple of shades in intensity.
    Barry, ever-present in the community as well as school, is a winner of the 2013 Daniels Fund Scholarship, a full ride to college awarded to those who demonstrate exceptional character, leadership and service.
    Barry, who plans to double major in psychology and criminology, would like to someday work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Her goal is to become a profiler.

    FORT COLLINS — In an acquisition that was finalized last month, Bank of Colorado purchased New West Bank, with branches in Eaton and Greeley.

    Bank of Colorado has 35 branches statewide including the New West Bank locations.  As part of this transaction, Bank of Colorado gained New West’s portfolio of $179 million in assets and retained 100 percent of their staff. 

FORT LUPTON -- Fort Lupton's Cicero Johns qualified for three events, while Ryian James made it in two events for this week's state 4A track and field championships at Jefferson County Stadium.

Johns made it in the 110-meter hurdles (15.92 seconds), the high jump (6 feet 5 inches, an inch short of the school record, the third seed in the field) and the triple jump (42-10 1/2, also the third seed in the field).
