    Ronald Milton Brasher of Meridian, Idaho, passed away February 23. He was 90. 

  • Benny Ibarra

    Benny C. Ibarra, 64, of Fort Lupton, peacefully entered eternal life early March 3.  He was the ninth child of Barbarito and Delfina C. Ibarra.

    Benny was a passionate man who took great joy in working for the city of Fort Lupton. His career began June 12, 1979, where he was led to become a highly skilled heavy equipment operator. Due to health issues, he was forced to retire after 34 years May 31, 2013.

  • Nellie M. Trujillo

    Nellie M. Trujillo, age 89, of Brighton, passed away Feb. 27. Nellie was born in Delta  Sept. 14, 1928, to Jose Trujillo.

    Nellie was a Brighton resident since she married her husband, Tony Trujillo in 1945. Nellie was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. 

  • Abondio Ybarra

    Abondio was born July 12, 1930, to Pablo and Eulalia Ybarra, he is one of 12 sons. He grew up in Weld County area and attended Gilcrest High School and was a member of the basketball team for two years.

    He enlisted in the U.S. Army, was a very proud Korean war veteran.  After his tour of duty, he settled in Commerce City and married his wife, Bertha Rodriguez, in 1956. They resided in Commerce City until 2015.

  • Dean Wittmus

    Dean Wittmus was born in Spencer, Nebraska, May 27 1933, to Frank and Margaret (Nelson) Wittmus and graduated from Burke, South Dakota, High School in 1952. Dean married Edith (Peggy) Ticknor Oct. 12, 1952, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy for four years. 

  • Kenneth Dean Livingston

    Kenneth (Kenny) Dean Livingston passed away Feb. 23 at his home in Brighton. Kenny was the owner and operator of Ken’s Mobile Fleet and Tire Co.

    He was born in Brighton July 9, 1962, to Sharon and Coy Livingston. A lifelong Brighton resident, he attended Brighton High School. 

    Kenny married his high-school sweetheart, Barbara Jean Ryan, in 1982. She preceded him death in 1985.

  • Bryan Dinges

    Bryan Dinges, of Brighton, passed away Feb. 19 at the age of 63.

    Bryan was born March 14, 1954, in Denver, to Alice and Jerome Dinges. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1972 and attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley for a year. 

  • Mary Louise Ruiz

    Mary Louise Ruiz, 95, of Fort Lupton, passed away Feb. 12. Mary was born in Holly June 21, 1922, to Jesus Oviedo and Frances (Oliveras) Oviedo.

    Mary married Joe Ruiz Dec. 7, 1941. They had six children. Mary loved her family, and she loved cooking. 

  • Rosalie A. Knoll

    Rosalie A. Knoll, of Brighton, passed away Feb. 15 at 99.

    Rosalie was born, Aug. 11, 1918, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Emma and Stanley Karpinski. Rosalie moved to Henderson at the age of 9.  She graduated from Brighton High School in 1936 and moved to Brighton when she married Pius, Sept. 22, 1942.

    She worked for Kuners in Brighton from 1955-1982.  Rosalie was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and loved to read.

  • Richard J. Gabel

    Richard J. Gabel, 78, of Firestone, died Feb. 6 in Greeley. He was born in Fort Lupton Sept. 26, 1939, to Gotlieb and Pauline (Meier) Gabel.

    He graduated from Fort Lupton High School in 1957 and attended Regis University for two years. He married Cammie King May 31, 1959. in Fort Lupton.
