As it stands, the Fort Lupton Public and School Library Board consist of seven members; three of whom are appointed by the city of Fort Lupton, three of whom are appointed by the Board of Education of Weld Re-8 School District, and one is appointed by the six library trustees.

The Library board meets monthly on the third Thursday of the month.  There are also a number of special activities, planning sessions, workshops and conferences to attend during the course of each year.

“We are one of the few highly successful combined public and school libraries, and we need board members who can wholeheartedly support these concepts,” the district stated in a press release announcing the trustee position. “There are times when the library needs extra help, and volunteers from the board are recruited. Board members will serve as advocates for the library within the community and school district.”

Applications are due (and may be picked up at the same address) by April 4 to:

Weld Re-8 Administration Office , Attn: Board of Education, 301 Reynolds Street, Fort Lupton, CO 80621.
