WELD COUNTY — Don’t be surprised the next time your visit the official Internet home of Weld County — the Weld County website has a new look and feel.
Revamped and relaunched on Monday, June 9, the revitalized website features a new layout and interface.
“We redesigned the site to make it more user-friendly,” said County Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer. “Now, our home page offers updated information in our news feed and convenient links to the pages and information the public is searching for most often.”
The most notable change to the site is the look, which features upgraded color schemes and photos. The site’s home page is designed to help visitors quickly retrieve the information they are looking for, and a new search engine built from Google’s search technology will provide more accurate results for users looking for particular information.
The social media icons on the top of the page provide direct access to the county’s social media platforms, and the weather icons point visitors to current weather conditions as well as river and stream flow information.
A new “I Want To” box will help many people quickly find the service they need. By selecting an item from the drop down menu, users can find their property information, look for a job, view road closures, pay their taxes and more.
“The county is working hard on expanding not only how we communicate with the public but also the platforms with which we provide information to the public,” said Commissioner Mike Freeman.
