Track: Fort Lupton's Hearon claims two wins at Weld Central meet

KEENESBURG – Fort Lupton's Johnnie Hearon laid claim to a pair of first-place finishes at the ninth annual Weld Central Rebel Roundup.

Hearon, who sits in 12th place in class 3A in the 100-meter hurdles (the top 18 qualifiy for the state meet next month), turned in a time of 17.20 a season-best. In the 300-meter hurdles, she finished with a time of 51.21. Hearon, a senior, is in 18th place in class 3A in that event.

Elsewhere, Gianna Tijerina was seventh in the 1,600-meter run with her time of 6:19.26.

On the boys side, Antonio Marquez won the 3,200-meter run, where he posted a time of 10:51.12. Cody Parker Bravo took sixth in the shot put at 40 feet 1 inch. He's in 25th place in class 3A. Preston Clark was seventh in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 19.76.
