GREELEY — Sheriff John Cooke was recently asked to be a guest speaker at the Gun Rights Policy Institute’s annual conference in Houston, Texas.
Sheriff Cooke presented information about the ongoing lawsuit that was initiated between 55 county sheriffs in Colorado against Gov. John Hickenlooper, who signed the bills into law.
At the conclusion of Sheriff Cooke’s presentation he was given an award by the 2nd Amendment Foundation, a nationally recognized organization for the preservation of gun rights in America. Sheriff Cooke was awarded the Defender of Liberty Award which reads; “In recognition and appreciation of your patriotic values, important work and tireless efforts on behalf of the 2nd Amendment rights of all Americans.”
