Ryan back in court in January for pretrial readiness conference

GREELEY – A Thornton man accused in the deaths of two people outside of Fort Lupton 13 months ago is due back in court at 1:30 p.m., Jan. 5, for a pretrial readiness conference.

         Steven Ryan faces eight counts, four of which are felonies, related to the crash on state Highway 52. Colorado state troopers said Ryan was behind the wheel of a car that passed into the eastbound lanes of state Highway 52 near Weld County Road 21. The car collided head-on with another car, killing the driver, Tanya Guevara, and a small child in her car.
