Weld County sheriff's deputies arrested three juveniles in connection with a potential school violence situation at Weld Central High School.
The problem came to light May 12. Deputies aren't saying much about the details of their investigation, nor are they saying what the threat was. The youngsters were at Platte Valley Youth Detention facility facing charges of interference with staff, faculty or students of an educational institution. Their names were not released. Deputies said the two were part of several juveniles named as "co-conspirators" in the alleged threat.
"The investigation is ongoing, but there appears to be no remaining credible threat towards the safety of Weld Central High School students or staff," according to a sheriff's department press release.
