Mary Fresquez, 77, passed away peacefully Feb. 12, 2012, in Brighton, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born in 1934 in Brighton, to Alfonso and Senorina Martinez.
She is survived by her children, Jenette Aguilar (John), Debbie Davis (Dwayne), Gary Fresquez (Tina), Shelly Young (Doug), Henry Fresquez (Jennifer); siblings, Grace Aragon (Art), Alfonso Martinez, and Viola Rael (Albert); nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by the love of her life, Henry Fresquez, also of Brighton; her son, Dominic Fresquez; brother, Ernest (German) Martinez; her parents, and several relatives and friends who she is now reunited with in heaven.
Henry and Mary were married in 1955 in Brighton. They loved being together with family and friends.
They enjoyed camping, long rides in the country, dancing, and listening to music.
Mary loved cooking and being with family and friends. She enjoyed her baseball, she rooted for the Brooklyn – LA Dodgers until the Colorado Rockies were formed. From then on, she was a true Rockies fan.
She was also a loyal Broncos fan and loved Broncos parties at home so she could cheer on her favorite team with family and friends and serve her famous homemade tamales.
She retired from Nabisco after 19 years. She then enjoyed spending time her grandchildren and vacations to California and Florida.
She was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
Mass of Christian burial was Feb. 17, at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Brighton. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery in Brighton.
