GREELEY -- Fort Lupton's Kaylee Maestas is waiting to see if she'll be among the players taking part in the class 3A girls tennis tournament later this week in Greeley.

Maestas is an alternate at No. 2 singles. The junior, who finished third at the regional tournament, split her 16 matches this season.

"She had an amazing day of playing some great tennis against a couple of excellent players," FLHS coach Christy Blanchard said.

FLHS sported a record of 5-3 this season and took fourth in its own tournament. The state meet begins Thursday, May 11, at Centennial Park in Greeley, the same location as the Bluedevils' regional tournament May 5.
