It was another successful Yellow Ball Classic Golf Tournament during Trapper Days 2012 with a collection of some $3,000.
The annual tournament raises funds for the Fort Lupton Chamber of Commerce and The Kelly Martinez Cancer Fund, divided equally. The Kelly Martinez Cancer Fund was established in memory of the daughter of Joe and Nieves Martinez. Joe is a local businessman and former mayor of Fort Lupton. Kelly lost her battle with leukemia in her teens after leaving a very vital and compassionate mark on the community. Since her death, the entire family has made a great effort to assist others who are dealing with serious health issues. It is with their cooperation that the Fort Lupton Chamber of Commerce sponsors the tournament.

    Winners this year were:
• 1st Place Men’s Team - the John Montoya team
• 2nd Place Men’s Team - the Rick Tijerina Team
• 1st Place Co-Ed Team - Glenn’s Radiator & Repair.
The Chamber of Commerce sincerely thanks Pat Maarek and the staff of Coyote Creek for their donations and assistance with the tournament.
The Chamber of Commerce would also like to thank everyone who contributed to this tournament. Without your support, we would not be able to enjoy the success of this fundraiser and this great day of golf.
