Deadline for petitions for Lochbuie election fast approaching

    LOCHBUIE – Those wanting to run for mayor in Lochbuie – or one of the town board seats – have until March 2 to turn in petitions. The election is April 3.
    Petitions have to be returned to the town clerk. The only requirements are to round up 10 signatures from other Lochbuie citizens, a resident of Lochbuie for the past 12 months, be a United States citizen and be a registered voter.
    The election is by mail ballot. The ballots will be mailed out the week of March 12 and have to be returned to Town Hall to be counted.
